Elegantly Up-swept Pageant Hair:
Softly up-swept styles, including the French twist, are very successful today and rarely go out of fashion.
They are exceptionally successful in the Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants. The look is less effective in teen pageants since it usually looks too mature.
Up-swept styles are effective for baby-fine hair that won’t hold a set, or coarse hair that is unmanageable…or for women who just like to look classic and classy.
Up-swept styles also can be a helpful choice for women whose hair is unlikely to behave well in the climate where the page is held (high humidity, etc.) One major titleholder had her french twist styled the night before she left for the pageant and simply slept in it.
