Dorchester, MA – November 10, 2012 – This evening The Miss Black Massachusetts USA Scholarship Pageant crowned a new titleholder Patricia Fallah as their Miss Black Massachusetts 2013. The pageant was held at the Boys and Girls Club Inc. in Dorchester MA.
Miss Fallah is currently a BA Candidate for Medical Biology at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in North Dartmouth, MA. The 23 year old has been recognized for her work with the youth (8+) in the Liberian community, talented dancer (choreographer), and also her service in the United States Army National Guard.
All contestants competed in four areas of competition Fitness Attire, Talent, Evening Gown and Onstage Question and Answer. The contestants were judged by a well-respected Panel of Judges.
The three-hour event featured 5 finalists:
- Jasmine Moore (3rd runner-up)
- Patricia Fallah (Winner)
- Tatyana Nembhard (4th runner-up)
- Laquandra Seymore (1strunner-up)
- Carrie Harris (2nd runner-up)
Dima Hendricks (Executive Director and Miss Black Massachusetts 2006) presented a crown and sash to the four lucky winners of the night Jalya Glover (Miss Black Massachusetts Talented Teen 2013) Patricia Fallah (Miss Black Massachusetts 2013), Amber Clark (Miss Black Rhode Island 2013) and People’s Choice was awarded to Laquandra Seymore.
