Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2013 Rachel Wyatt Visits U.S. Dream Academy and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
On Tuesday, November 20 Rachel visited the U.S. Dream Academy where she spoke about her platform Dance Therapy – Miracles through Movement, performed, visited with the children and signed photo cards. The children were thrilled to meet her. The U.S. Dream Academy is helping our nation’s children reach for their dreams. Through academic, social, and values enrichment, they empower those children most at risk of incarceration to believe in themselves and to succeed.
Today Rachel spent the afternoon with a group of very special children at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) as the teen ambassador of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Rachel did an arts and crafts project with them and signed photo cards for each child.
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia was the nation’s first hospital devoted exclusively to caring for children. Since opening its doors in 1855, CHOP has been the birthplace for many dramatic firsts in pediatric medicine. The Hospital has fostered medical discoveries and innovations that have improved pediatric healthcare and saved countless children’s lives.
