Miss New York’s Outstanding Teen 2011, Lauren Mollela, recently accepted her $61,000 scholarship to Troy University for enrollment this fall. Lauren was awarded the scholarship for her high academic achievement at the 2011 Miss America’s Outstanding Teen competition in Orlando, Fl. Lauren was also offered an additional $8,000 scholarship from Troy after successfully auditioning for the University’s dance repertoire ensemble. Lauren was accepted to the Honors College at Troy University and plans to major in Pre-Med and minor in dance.
“MAOTeen has inspired me to look within myself to find the self-courage and voice to live however I chose. I thank Troy for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to attend their prestigious university,” Lauren said.
