Congratulations to Aquillia Vang Mrs. Missouri United States
Mrs. Aquillia “Q” Vang, resident of Waynesville, and Army wife of Neng Vang has been selected to represent the married women of Missouri as Mrs. Missouri United States in the 2012 Mrs. United States pageant.
The Mrs. Missouri United States pageant was held May 5-6, 2012 in St. Joseph, Missouri at the Historic St. Joseph Theatre.
Mrs. Vang stood amongst a field of several married women competing in Swimsuit, Evening, and Interview competitions. The 2012 Mrs. United States Pageant will take place July 8 – 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She will again compete in Swimsuit, Evening Gown, and Interview competitions amongst married women from across the country.
The MRS. UNITED STATES Pageant system stresses good morals, physical fitness, communication skills, social awareness and community involvement. Mrs. Vang, a registered nurse, enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, and traveling. Through her experiences as a full-time nurse, she states, “I have the ability to pass along a renewed sense of hope and passion for life; not only to my patients, but to everyone I meet. This title has, and will continue to open doors of opportunity that will allow me to continue to touch lives and represent so many different types of married women around the nation.”
She also wishes to continue supporting military families as well as Ronald McDonald House Charities, Fisher House Foundation, and Warriors for Ross, as each are dear to her heart. Mrs. Vang says, “I love people, and I love making a difference.”
