All Girls, Help Me Out Here!
Do you have a dress that is just sitting in your closet? Doubt you will wear it again or do you need to wear it again? Because there is someone who NEEDS that dress to go to prom. What would you do if you were unable to purchase a dress for prom and had no alternative but to simply not go?
I’ve teamed up with Loft 181 in Florida and non-profit organization Caitlin’s Closet (founded by former MAOTeen, Caitlin Brunell) to provide girls in the foster care system the opportunity to wear beautiful, donated dresses to their proms. I am hoping to collect over 100 dresses in the next month to donate to Loft 181 on behalf of Caitlin’s Closet. Ask any girl and she will tell you that half the fun of going to prom is the process of getting ready and figuring out what to wear. As a senior in high school, I know there are many girls who feel held back from attending prom because of financial reasons. Prom is the highlight of the year and I hope you will all put a bit of effort in to ensuring happiness to another young lady on her prom day.
To donate your gently worn prom dress, cocktail dress or pageant gown, simply mail the dress by MARCH 10, 2012 to:
