Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler was honored with a Courage Award last night by the Care Plus Foundation for the exemplary work she does advocating for children of incarcerated parents.
Laura was among the honorees at the Care Plus Foundation’s Annual Courage Awards in Garfield, New Jersey.
The Care Plus Foundation and the Courage Awards, now in their 14th year, honor and celebrate individuals, groups, and corporations who work tirelessly on behalf of others facing the daily and life-long challenges of mental illness and substance abuse.
Other honorees at the event included Bergen County Freeholder David L. Ganz, and HOMECorp of Montclair, NJ.
