Celebrated editorial and fashion photography, Roy Cox, is collaborating with Mrs. DC America. The winner of Mrs. DC America will have a high-fashion photo shoot with the legendary photographer.
District of Columbia / Free-Press-Release.com / February 14, 2012 — The Mrs. DC America Pageant publicly recognizes beautiful married women, living and/or working within a 25-mile radius of Washington, DC, who have obtained personal, professional and community achievements. An official preliminary pageant to Mrs. America and Mrs. World, the Mrs. DC America Pageant welcomes women from all ethnic backgrounds to compete in a yearly pageant for the title of Mrs. DC America. The 2012 pageant is 7:00pm, March 10, 2012 at the Jack Morton Theatre in Washington, DC.
“Roy has had many great experiences working with Mrs. Raquel Thomas (Executive Producer/Director) and other pageant contestants/winners over the years and is honored to be able to contribute to the organization,” states Erin Cox, spokesperson.
As a Baltimore native Roy Cox began his imaging career as a cinematographer, videographer and AVID editor in 1996. In 2002 he switched creative gears to focus on fashion and advertising photography. Roy opened his first studio in October of that year providing portfolio and headshot services to the tri-state area. He quickly made a name for himself in the local advertising industry and began working on his first commercial accounts in 2003. Over the years Roy has become known for his easily recognizable and complex lighting style, which he credits in part to his cinematography background. In 2006 Roy expanded his studio in Baltimore to a 2,000 square foot warehouse space in Baltimore City.
Roy now provides a variety of photography-based production services to a wide-range of clientèle, including multi-million dollar corporations, high-end advertising agencies and individual professionals. His photography styles include commercial, lifestyle, editorial & high-fashion. Roy’s goal is to provide clients with images that make an impact and leave a lasting, positive impression on their target audience. The studio specializes in providing a full-range of production services, from creative/pre-production all the way through to post-production, editing & composite work.
