Prestigious International Public Relations Account for Miss World 2005 Awarded to Marcus Agar Communications
16 August 2005 — Marcus Agar Communications has been awarded the prestigious international PR account for the Miss World 2005festival, which will peak with the live TV Finals in Sanya, China, on December 10.
Marcus Agar Communications will consult on media and communications for the Miss World Organisation. Activity will stem from an international media strategy to generate maximum impact in the run-up to and during a month-long tour of China taking in cities including Beijing and Wenzhou, as well as the finals in Sanya.
Marcus will oversee the account, with two additional senior staff joining him in China for the Finals, when the team will manage media at the event and co-ordinate the distribution of results to press worldwide. Marcus will also accompany Miss World 2004 Maria Julia on international media tours, and recently returned from her ten-day visit to China.

The Miss World Organisation owns and manages the annual Miss World Finals, a competition that has grown into one of the World’s biggest and most loved events. Since its launch is 1951, the Miss World Organisation has raised more than £250m for children’s charities. Miss World is franchised in more than 140 countries and commands the World’s largest annual live TV audience.
A record of 115 countries will compete for the Miss World 2005 crown in the World’s largest annual live TV event, with an anticipated global audience of more than two billion.
