NEW YORK, NY — Many beauty pageant winners will walk the ramp in Indian fashion by Parna Ghose of Pure Elegance. The event will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Friday April 26, 2013 in the Grand Ballroom of the famous Ritz Carlton hotel in Washington DC.
The event is organized by Exclusiva Eventi in support of Operation Smile, one of the most prominent charities for children in the world with a presence in over 60 countries. Amongst the models that will walk in Indian fashion from Pure Elegance will include Shannon McAnally – Miss VA USA, Kasey Staniszewski – Miss Maryland USA, Jessica Frith – Miss DC USA, Ayesha Gilani – Miss Pakistan World and many more.
This exclusive fund-raising event draws prominent individuals, media and socialites from Washington DC metro area. ‘We are honored to be associated with such a great cause and be able to showcase Indian fashion to such an elite audience’, said Parna Ghose of Pure Elegance. Although Indian fashion had been interesting to mainstream fashion audience, it had rarely been used as a ‘crowd-catcher’. ‘I cannot wait to see some of the most gorgeous girls in this country walking the ramp in India-inspired fashion’, added Parna Ghose.
As fashion is becoming more global, fashion audience is beginning to appreciate distinct, new creativity from all around the globe. This confirms a growing trend in recognizing ethnic fashion at the global stage.
