Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization is pleased to announce a NEW Teens In Action Award that will be sponsored by Elizabeth McGlynn, Professional Pageant Preparation, LLC. Teens in Action is a $500 award that will be awarded to a contestant based on her platform.MAOTeen contestants were asked to submit an essay explaining her platform, why it is important to her and talking about how she worked to integrate it into her community.
“These young women are truly our leaders of tomorrow and represent the best and the brightest of young women today,” Elizabeth McGlynn, Professional Pageant Preparation, LLC said. ”The MAOTeen Organization is helping these exceptional young women to not only reach for their goals – but to achieve them.”
The recipients of these awards will be selected by the Scholastic Judges committee and will be announced at the Awards Ceremony and After Party on Saturday, August, 20, 2011 immediately following the competition.
