Anderson founded Majestic International Pageant not as a beauty contest but as a way to coach young women in needed workplace skills. Entrants are coached on how to execute a one-on-one interview and also get advice on clothing and grooming choices that will inspire respect. Participants develop self-confidence and poise through public speaking. Anderson says, “We strive to bring out each young lady’s full potential.”The inaugural Majestic International Pageant which was a huge success was held May 31–June 2, 2013, at Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld in Florida. Those who entered and were crowned as part of the court have and will make public appearances and will be encouraged to empower others through educational programs and charity work for nonprofit groups such as the Boys and Girls Club’s Walt Disney World chapter, Second Harvest Food Bank, and the Coalition for the Homeless.
Anderson is familiar with the world of pageantry, with more than 18 years’ experience in the field. Through pageantry, her two daughters were able to attend private colleges. One recently graduated with a criminal justice degree and the other is on her way to becoming a psychologist. Anderson has also been a pageant consultant and coach to others for many years.
Born in Jamaica and now living near Orlando, Fla. she has a degree in hotel management and worked in that business for over seventeen years. Her current role is a licensed adjuster. The inaugural pageant was a huge success, thanks in part to the sponsors who supported the wonderful event. Anderson is hard at work gaining contestants and sponsors for the annual experience.
“The contributions of our sponsors are vital,” she says. “That encouragement gives young women confidence that will last a lifetime.” Contact: Paulette Anderson, President and CEO, Majestic International Pageant E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
