Miami, FL, January 11, 2014- Presenting the new winners Miss Art Deco 2014, Nicole Pelaez, and Miss Teen Art Deco 2014, Katarina Wronka, crowned at Rebeca Sosa Theater. The Miss Art Deco Beauty Pageant celebrated their second year in the making. The competition featured 8 contestants throughout South Florida. Both winners will be part of the festivities of the 37th Annual Art Deco Weekend Festival held on Miami Beach and compete at the state pageant of 2015 MISS FLORIDA USA® and MISS FLORIDA TEEN USA®, preliminaries to MISS USA® and MISS TEEN USA®.
Nicole Pelaez is a 21 year old student of Florida International University. Her career goal is to become a Clinical Psychologist. She has been awarded the Proclamation from the City of West Miami for involvement in going green and honored to be on the Dean’s list. Her hobbies are modeling, reading, and traveling. Nicole’s current occupation is Student Assistant at Florida International University. Nicole volunteered for the International Rescue Committee and likes promoting the importance of recycling. She is the proud daughter of Lissette Hernandez Salas and Hector Pelaez, descendants of Havana, Cuba.
During the pageant Nicole was named the title winner of “Miss Internet.” Nicole formerly placed first runner up at Miss South Florida USA Pageant.
Katarina Wronka is a 15 year old homeschooled student dual enrolled at Florida Keys Community College. She is. Her hobbies are sewing, designing, and baking. Her career goal is to become a Broadcaster and a UN Ambassador. She is the proud daughter Marysia and Thomas Wronka. Daniela formerly held the winning title of Miss Pinecrest Teen USA.
The other contestants placed were first runner up Teen, Jessica Medina, first runner up, Gabriella Martinez and the newly crowned Miss Jr Art Deco 2014 Yasmeen Masanti.
