During the third night of preliminary competitions at the 2013 Miss America Pageant, judges named Miss Washington Mandy Schendel as the preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness winner. The tall blonde wore a stunning strapless white Catalina bikini swimsuit. Mandy will receive a $1,000 Amway scholarship.

After winning the Miss Eastside title, she was crowned Miss Washington 2012 on July 7, 2012 at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien, Washington.
A singer, she performed a vocal solo in the talent competition and advocates her platform, “Do Something: Enriching Youth, Cultivating Leaders”.
A major in organizational leadership, Mandy hopes to earn her Juris Doctorate degree and to eventually become a Supreme Court Justice.
