Macy’s, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, Joins Forces with the 2013 Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant™
September 4, 2013- New York – Some of the nation’s premier companies and organizations have joined forces with The 2013 Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant™ in an effort to effect a positive change within the lives of young collegiate women of African descent across the nation.
The Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant™ will kick off their partnership with Macy’s during a homecoming fashion show hosted by Macy’s on September 21, 2013 at their Francis Scott Key, Maryland store. As a highlight, four young ladies affiliated with the Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant™ will be selected to participate as featured models in the Macy’s produced fashion show. The participants will receive community service hours and certificates for their involvement, as well as be included in all press.
The Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant™ encourages young women to come out to the designated Macy’s location, attend the fashion show and submit their applications for the upcoming 2013 and 2014 Pageants. Additionally, Ms. Aiken the Pageant’s Founder/Director, other sponsors, Queen Ashley Nicole Jones and Runner Up, Ayahna Hunter, will all be on hand to meet and greet prospective contestants and attendees.
The Atlanta Marriott Marquis, the Host Hotel, in addition to so many other wonderful perks, will list the Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant™ on their social media sites. The Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta has partnered with the Pageant to host the contestants’ rehearsal space which will be open to the members of the club. Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant™ will honor and invite 16 of the Club’s hand picked outstanding youth members to attend the Pageant as their VIP Guests; where they will receive special goody bags and have an opportunity to meet and greet the contestants, and the reigning and newly crowned Miss Black Collegiate USA Scholarship Pageant™ Queens.
