Miss America’s Outstanding Teen will offer a unique opportunity this year with a new scholarship. The Random Act of Kindness Scholarship will be awarded to one of the 53 contestants competing for the title of MAOTeen.
“Wherever there is a human in need, there is an opportunity for kindness and to make a difference. There’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act of kindness creates a ripple effect with no logical end. When we feel love and kindness toward others, it not only makes others feel loved and cared for, but it helps us also to develop inner happiness and peace,” quoted the anonymous donor.
“Random acts of kindness” are a means by which we make a deliberate attempt to brighten another person’s day by doing something thoughtful, nice, and caring for them. Kindness is a way of showing others that they count and that even in the face of hostility and selfishness, you’re making a stand for kindness.
The awarding of the $500 Random of Acts of Kindness Scholarship will have you on the edge of your seat. Make sure you plan to attend the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant August 13-17, 2013 in Orlando, Florida. Tickets will soon be available on Ticketmaster.
