The Class of 2014 was amazed by their incredible and generous welcome reception by The Pier Shops at Caesars. A very special evening was designed for them complete with a Miss America shopping event! It began with an exquisite dining experience at Buddakan, Stephen Starr’s award winning restaurant where the contestants enjoyed a Modern Asian tasting menu, prepared especially for them in an elegant setting.
The fifty-three contestants had the honor of cutting the red ribbon for the official opening of The Miss America Store now featured at the Pier Shops at Caesars, on the second level. The Miss America Store will remain open until Monday, September 16th and is where shoppers can purchase a range of clothing for the whole family. Miss America’s newest cosmetics and skincare, R.E. I.G.N., along with artwork, collectibles, and so much more are also now available!
Following their dining experience, the contestants explored The Pier and shopped at some of the finest stores and luxury names in fashion in Atlantic City where they were greeted with a warm welcome, specials gifts and discounts to make this evening of shopping even more memorable! The evening was highlighted by the special water, light and sound show which features the largest indoor fountain. The contestants were also able to relax in the Adirondack beach chairs enjoying stunning oceanviews before they begin to compete for the crown Tuesday, September 10th, Wednesday, 11th, and Thursday, September 12th during the Preliminary Competitions in the historic Boardwalk Hall, leading up to the final night of Competition airing September 15th live on ABC at 9:00 p.m. EST!
Last night’s shopping, dining and entertainment experience was a memorable one for the Class of 2014! A very special thank you to The Pier Shops at Caesars for their generosity and to Stephen Starr’s Buddakan for creating a magical evening in Atlantic City that the contestants will always treasure!
