Elizabeth Reeve, Ms. Wheelchair Oklahoma (USA) 2011, will be competing in Ohio in July for the title of Ms. Wheelchair USA. Elizabeth is not new to the pageant world, but has gone on a journey to educate the public on Service dogs for Independence.
Elizabeth has written two books (ADA and You: Service dogs and Sassy: the many short stories of a service dog). Elizabeth Reeve was Ms. Wheelchair Oklahoma (America) 2008-2009 and was the state coordinator for Ms. Wheelchair Oklahoma (America) from 2008-2011. When asked about what she plans to do in the future, Elizabeth said “I want to teach teachers how to teach students with special needs. I want to help students who might need service dogs in the classroom be able to have the access for the service dog. Eventually, I would like to start a new pageant for contestants who have various special needs.”
We want to wish Elizabeth good luck as she continues to help the community of individuals who have special needs. She has a voice and she uses it to help others understand that individuals with special needs can do anything they put their minds to.
