Miss America’s Outstanding Teen and Auburn University are pleased to announce several scholarship opportunities for this year’s MAOTeen contestants. Auburn will be offering a four-year renewable tuition scholarship to Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2013 and will also be providing a $15,000 Scholastic Excellence Award to contestants who meet the specified requirements.
MAOTeen contestants who have a minimum ACT composite score of 31 or a 1360 SAT total score (math and verbal only) and have a minimum 3.5 high school GPA are eligible to receive the Scholastic Excellence Award.
“Auburn University is proud to provide scholarship support for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Scholarship Program,” said Velda Rooker, Director of University Scholarship. “The young women participating, all of whom are accomplished, talented, and committed to community service, represent the very best of what our nation has to offer.”
The recipients of these awards will be selected by Auburn University and will be announced at the Awards Ceremony and After Party on Saturday, August, 18, 2012, immediately following the competition.
