it film stars or beauty queens, Namma Bengaluru has given the world
of fashion and showbiz some of the best models and actresses.
While beauties like Sara Corner, Sandhya Chib, Nafisa Joseph and
Lara Dutta ruled the hearts of millions by winning the Femina Miss
India titles, others like Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma got
direct tickets to Bollywood. For decades, Bangalore gals walked away
with those sparkling crowns. But, in the past few years, there have
been none. Has Bangalore gone off the map? That's not true," says fashion guru Prasad Bidapa. "I
agree that our girls have not been able to bring back home the Miss
World or Universe titles. But, they have successfully made it to
the final round. Even this year, we have had Ragini Dwivedi and
Faith Pandey, who won sub titles and also made it to the top 10.
And, there will be a lot more in the upcoming contests," adds

Teen Louisiana Lindsey Evans, aka Miss Placed: It was October,
and Lindsey Evans was in the home stretch of her reign as Miss Teen
Louisiana when she and her friends went out to eat in Bossier City.
The group ran up a tab of just over $46, then pulled a "dine and
dash." The problem? Evans left behind her purse. Police found Evans'
identification, and her marijuana stash, and when the party went
back (!) to reclaim her property, all three were arrested.

MySpace. Rees was stripped of her title by the Miss Universe

Katie Rees, the
former beauty queen of the Nevada state,
was arrested in Las Vegas after she was
pulled over for speeding. According to
the media reports, Katie Rees was taken
into custody after she kicked a police
officer. She is being held in the Clark
County Detention Center on six
misdemeanor charges such as driving with
suspended license plates, speeding and
resisting a police officer.
